About the Provider
Jessica Cross is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She initially started her nursing career in 2006 when she graduated from RN school. After working several years in the Medical-Surgical department at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas, TX, she decided to further her career by pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Family Practice. She was born and raised in the rural community of Bend, TX, and had a love for small towns and rural medicine. This led her to seek her education from a University program that focused on training providers to practice in a rural setting. She graduated from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Practice in 2010.
She and her family moved to Red River in April 2011 and after working at a local urgent care clinic, which was only open seasonally, she decided to open her own clinic to provide a year-round presence for the residents and tourists to the area. She has been the owner and operator of Main Street Medical Center since its foundation in September 2012.
